Our herd has been started from some great dairy herds:  Echo Hills, Blue Oaks, Green Gables, Blackberry’s BMM, and Jardine Meadows.  We have F-4, F-5, and F-7 generation does with great markings.  The Miniature Dairy Goat Association (MDGA) describes the Mini Nubian as “a graceful dairy goat of mixed Asian, African and European origin, known for high quality, high butterfat milk production and the Nigerian Dwarf”.

Our legacy doe and alpha female is Rose Meadow Farms Licorice.  Although she has been retired from milking, she had a strong mother instinct, quite affectionate and inquisitive.  She enjoys her daily hugging and has been the “mentor” for our other young does.

Prancing Pony Ayelén Joy is our F-5 black and tan doe with lovely frosted ears and muzzle.  She was born in March 2019.  She had her first freshening in May 2022 ad has shown to be a great milker and calm on the stand.  She was awarded a milking star in 2022.  Her name is from the Mapuche language of an indigenous peoples of Chili.  It translates to “joy”.

Stone Steps Farm Cala Charm is our F-7 chestnut colored doe born in March 2020.  She had her first freshening in June 2022 and easily delivered twin bucklings.  In March, 2024, she again easily delivered triplet doelings!  She also has provided us with a great udder, lots of milk and was awarded a milking star in 2022.  Her name originates from the indigenous peoples of Putah Creek, the Patwins and it translates as a verb for “beautiful” and “moral”.
